Ottobre Baby Jeans 1/2005

Just finished making the following pattern with an orange stretch jeans material. The material is wonderful, and the pattern was quite easy to follow. The only problem I had was with the waistband. Ottobre had you measure the childs waist and then remove 7-9cm. Then you joined the ends of the elastic, and attached it to the wrong side of the waistband. Then you stitch the waistband through all layers. This stretched the elastic so much that I had to remove my first elastic because it was way too big. I dont think I will follow this method again. Instead I decided to copy a pair of pants that my mother bought for him in Germany. In that case, no seam allowance was stitched through the elastic. Instead there are two s.a. stitched below the elastic. This is a size 80.
